This is a very comfortable hotel within a short walk of all the sights in the town center. Most rooms have a fabulous view! We had breakfast on the top floor also with an amazing view. The hotel had a rooftop bar that was fun in the evening to watch the sunset.

Attractively located in Lisbon, Exe Saldanha has air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a bar. This 3-star hotel offers a tour desk and luggage storage space.

The hotel was great. Clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice. Morning breakfast had lots of variety. Staff held my bags so I could explore as I got in early in am. The hotel is in a more residential area and not in the bustle which I liked. Across the street from a grocery store which I was able to get water from.

Food, Fado and Fun in Lisbon

Built on seven hills facing the Tagus River, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It showcases unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.

The city is famous for its districts: Belem's famous monuments; Alfama's labyrinth of streets, bars and small shops; and trendy Alcantara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in Baixa.

Enjoy a walk through Jardim Botanico, admire the architecture of the Jeronimos Monastery or explore the Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese cuisine. No meal is complete without the famous pasteis de nata!

Getting to the city center is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cozy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your vacation in Lisbon.

While the hotel itself met my expectations and offered a pleasant stay, I must admit that I was disappointed with the city overall. The streets and sidewalks in many areas were poorly maintained, making it easy to trip or get injured. Unfortunately, I was approached daily by individuals offering drugs, which made walking around uncomfortable. There were also many homeless people sleeping in doorways, on sidewalks, and near crossings – often accompanied by strong and unpleasant odors. I found the persistent attempts to lure tourists into restaurants quite exhausting, and in some neighborhoods, particularly around the market hall (which itself was great), I didn’t feel completely safe. I recommend walking back along the riverside rather than taking shortcuts through inner streets, as I did. One of the biggest disappointments was my trip to Sintra. It felt like a waste of money. I was required to buy a day pass for €13.50 just to return from the castle to the center of Sintra by bus, and then I couldn’t even use that ticket for other buses I wanted to take later. The ticketing policy seemed unfair and misleading. In summary, while I appreciated the quality of the accommodation, my overall experience in Lisbon was negatively affected by several issues in the city itself and for sure, I do not plan to be back to Lisbon.

    Spent 5 days walking Lisbon.

Spent 5 days walking Lisbon. Loved walking around but you do want sturdy shoes as many areas are uneven paving. Very safe. Highly recommend the Tile Museum - it was much better than we expected. If you are fit and go to Sintra, walk up instead of taking the bus - it's gorgeous. Good idea to spend two days in Sintra and the whole town is a museum. Not convinced the two hour wait was worth going to Jeronimous Monastery for the money. It is gorgeous, but minimal information and you can see it from the outside and the church, which is free. We walked everywhere. Be prepared for long queues even if you have booked tickets online. Loved the castle and the Pasta de Nada in the bakery just outside the exit had the best ones we tried.

Lisbon is my "to-go-to-town" when I need to get out of the USA. I just love to wonder round town and absorb the atmosphere and enjoy the kindness of the people and take advantage of the great food and shopping.

Very interesting city, best explored on foot.

Very interesting city, best explored on foot. The city is full of little streets and alleys, and generally hilly. Most of the pavements are very uneven and slippery when wet, so not good for anyone with mobility issues or concerns. On the other hand there are plenty of local guided tours with transport available. People very pleasant.

The only bad part of the trip was the airport-big, untidy, hard to get around and crowded. The city itself was beautiful-plenty of things to see and do in the city and around it. There were lots of resturants with delicious (but rather expensive) food. It is also very loud and there are lots of people everywhere, so you need to take it into account.

Honestly this is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. Everything was brilliant. Location was amazing too, loved the avenue nearby and close to centre, metro, train station. The apartment had everything we could wish for, comfy beds and extremely quiet. If we ever visit Lisbon again we'll be staying here. Staff were extremely helpful. It's part of a 5 star hotel so the service was top level.
